John J. McKenna, Jr., CLU®, ChFC®, MSFS

For nearly 45 years, John has been working with families and businesses throughout the country to help them reach their financial goals.

John grew up in Butte, MT then migrated to Bozeman, MT where he attended Montana State University followed by Eastern Montana College in Billings, MT. John holds a Master of Science in Financial Services from The American College at Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Additionally, he has a Chartered Life Underwriter^® designation and Chartered Financial Consultant™ designation.

John is a Life and Qualifying Member of the Million Dollar Round Table and has been a long-time member of the New York Life Company's Chairman’s Council.

Following college, Bozeman, MT became both the home base of McKenna Financial and the home of John, Tricia and their family. When not working John enjoys spending time mountain biking the trails around the Gallatin Valley, skiing the slopes of Montanaor being involved with his aviation passion, particularly flying into the backcountry of the west where he enjoys camping with family and friends. Over the years John has enjoyed his work with nonprofits and is the board chairman of the Recreational Aviation Foundation.

Meghann P. McKenna, CLU®, ChFC®, CLTC®, ChSNC®, CAP®

Meghann represents the new generation of a business that has evolved from family roots. With experience in insurance, estate planning and financial services, Meghann works in partnership with her father John, associate Leisl and other associate agents at McKenna Financial.

Meghann is active in many civic activities, including past president of the Board of Directors for Special Olympics Montana and current Member of the Board for the Gallatin Valley Land Trust. Meghann attended Montana State University, Bozeman and University of South Carolina, Columbia where she graduated with a degree in Business-Marketing.

She is also a Member Agent of The Nautilus Group^®, a service of New York Life Insurance Company and a resource for estate conservation and business succession ideas that is made available to a limited number of subscribing member agents. The Nautilus Group is staffed by professionals with credentials in law, taxation, accounting, insurance and finance. Utilizing information provided by the members’ clients, they provide strategies for consideration by the client’s own legal and tax advisors.^*

Meghann has earned numerous industry and company achievements, including a Qualifying Member of the Million Dollar Round Table and 2017 President’s Council Member of New York Life Insurance Company.

Meghann is based out of Bozeman and when not working can be found making numerous loaves of banana bread out of seriously over-ripe bananas, or hosting a dinner with friends to try out the latest homemade pasta recipe and a fun new wine. Meghann can also be found on a nice day with her dog Roger hiking around the Gallatin Valley.

Leisl Mooer

Leisl Mooer joined McKenna Financial in 2013 supporting the advisors in their practice. In 2015, she decided to begin her own career as a Financial Adviser within the McKenna Financial team. Leisl works alongside her clients in a holistic and comprehensive manner by focusing on risk management, asset accumulation and management, and distribution strategies. She enjoys seeing her clients build financial confidence, stability, and success.

Leisl grew up in Alaska and moved to Bozeman to attend Montana State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Finance in 2005. She loves being a part of this growing community!

When not in the office, Leisl enjoys a good podcast, drinking coffee, and taking advantage of all the Montana landscape has to offer. She lives in the Valley with her husband, Scott, and their two daughters, Alice and Norah.

Madison Moery

Madison Moery joined McKenna Financial in 2019 as administrative assistant, Madison supports the advisors and other staff members of the office. She enjoys working directly with clients and helping them address concerns or find solutions to problems. Each day is an opportunity to expand her knowledge with help from the McKenna Financial team.

Madison grew up in Duvall, Washington and moved to Bozeman in 2016 to pursue her finance degree at Montana State University. While at Montana State University, she was a member of the ASMSU Finance Board, further sparking her interest of working in the finance field.

When not at work, you can find Madison ice skating every day in the winter. In the summer months, Madison enjoys spontaneous road trips all over Montana – camping and fishing along the way.

Roger

Roger Maxwell McKenna IV joined McKenna Financial in December 2018. While he desires many responsibilities he currently can be trusted with very little. He spends his time monitoring the work of his human colleagues, taking frequent walks in the office yard and making sure that everyone who comes by the office pets him.
